Michal Mętel has been in the IT industry for more than 20 years, and for the past 15 years has been responsible for streamlining manufacturing and implementation processes. He has spent the last 7 years at Agora, first as Director of Technology in the digital area, responsible for all web portals in the group, and then as Director of Architecture and CTO of the entire group. Prior to that, he worked as IT Development Leader for SoftwareONE, a Swiss technology company developing products based on cloud environments and SaaS model. He also created the Polish IT development department at HRS (Hotel Reservation Service).
Previously, he led the development team at E-commerce Services (Empik Group), where he was responsible for, among other things, the implementation of agile methodologies (mainly using SCRUM and Kanban) and the development of software teams. At Roche Poland, he managed the development department and was responsible, among other things, for project management, creation of information systems architecture and business analysis.
Michał Mętel is a graduate of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology at the Warsaw University of Technology.
