Agnieszka Surmackahas been related to the capital market for over 20 years. In 1999, she began to work for PTE “DOM” S.A., where she took part, inter alia, in a project connected with the start-up of the general pension society. At that time, she actively participated in the work of the Polish Chamber of Pension Funds, as well as in the process of reviewing legal regulations determining the rules for operation of open pension funds in Poland.
In December 2002, she worked in Pekao Financial Services Sp. z o.o. where she exercise the function of coordinator of the legal counsels team. She was responsible for legal actions concerning the preparation of the Company to serve investment funds in terms of fulfilment of obligations related to fighting money laundering and financial terrorism, as well as for the coordination of legal activities connected with the launch of the foreign fund service. In 2006, she became the Director of Legal Service and Surveillance Office responsible for supervising and coordinating legal services, as well as for ensuring the compliance of Company's activities with applicable legal regulations.
In March 2010, she was appointed to the position of Chairman of the Management Board of PKO Finat.
She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She holds the title of legal counsel and is a member of the Circuit Chamber of Legal Counsel in Warsaw.
She also graduated from Post-graduate Management Studies at Gdańsk Foundation for Management Development and with the title of Executive MBA certified by the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
